Environment
The environmental dimension of ESG considers our use of natural resources and how our activities - both directly and through our supply chains - affect the environment. At Dhruval Exim, our key input parameters include: Fibre, Water, Energy, Chemicals, and Waste-while climate change adds an extra layer of risk and responsibility.
Environment Management Systems:
In line with our ESG policy, Dhruval Exim operates under robust environmental management systems (EMS):
• ISO 14001 certified across all manufacturing units
• Covers Water, Energy, Waste, Air quality, and Chemical management
• Regular internal reviews and third-party audits to drive continuous improvement
Download our ISO 14001 and Higg FEM certificates.
Decarbonisation & Climate Resilience:
We proactively analyze climate scenarios (RCP 2.6, 8.5; IEA 2DS, STEPS) to understand physical and transitional climate risks. Our adaptation plan targets:
- Sustainable fibre sourcing - including BCI, Organic, and Regenerative cotton from trusted farmer networks
- Future roadmap includes solar-energy scale-up and rainwater harvesting.
Energy And Water Mix:

Highlights:
- Solar reduces reliance on grid-electricity and cut CO2 emissions
- Biocoal boilers minimize fossil fuel use
- Foam-dyeing and smart wash recovery reduce water consumption by ~90% per batch
- Rainwater harvested (~615 KL capacity across rooftops) supports washing
operations
-Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) enables ≥90% water recycling
Greenhouse Gas Emissions & Targets
We're monitoring and managing emissions, aligned with internationally recognized standards:
•Scope 1 & 2: emissions tracked and audited
•Science-based target: 40% reduction by 2025 vs. 2015 baseline
•Progress: Already at ~31% reduction by FY23-24
• Scope 3 (value-chain)-raw materials, logistics, etc.-also tracked
Intertek countinues to provide independent assurance.

Chemicals & Waste Management:
• 98% of chemicals conform to ZDHC MRSL
• Life-cycle management: substitution, treatment, and discharge reduction
• Biobased pigments in development (e.g. Bio Black from wood waste)
• Composting fabric sludge, recycling carboys and plastic packaging
What Sets Dhruval Apart:
• Foam-dyeing tech uses air instead of water-up to 90% water saved
• Reuse of pre-wet and cooling water-reducing fresh wastewater discharge
• Rainwater harvesting across rooftops (~615 KL) for washing use
• One of India's largest ZLD-style effluent treatment designs
Narrative Summary:
At Dhruval Exim, environmental stewardship is woven into every process. With solar energy, biocoal boilers, foam dye systems, ETP, and rainwater harvesting, we optimize resource use and minimize footprint. Our ISO-14001 EMS, rigorous audits, and ambitious emissions targets ensure a green, resilient future.
